ー  'LAMBS'  ー

(Sculpture/Installation,Plaster, Emulsion)

Each head represents a life of a child that is stripped from their mother for human consumption. They represent a point of when the innocent become the exploited and the controlled functioning as representations of emotional states not fixed to time, or place. Each head is individual not one is the same, although coming from the same mold each is carved into and painted red to symbolise the love, loss and death caused by a majority of sheep farming companies.

ー  'MOTHER SHEEP, FORLORN,  ー
FORGOTTEN & LAMB'
(Sculpture/Installation, Clay, Mixed Media, Wool, Yarn, Human hair.)

The sculptures symbolise the practical implications of sheep farming and the actions that may take a toll on both the mother and the child.  The text that is hand embroiled onto the sheep fleece are lines from a poem that Id written, read to be relatable to the person reading it, provoking emotion and the feeling of loss. The emotional lives of animals is often doubted and questioned. The subjective lives of animals are not only a vital part of human medical research but are regularly measured and studied with scientific rigor. Previous studies have shown that sheep appear to have the potential to feel a wide range of emotions, including fear, anger, rage and despair emotions something both humans and sheep alike both feel.
